Privacy

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, shows no advertising and has no accounts. There is no form to fill in and nothing to opt out of, because nothing is collected in the first place.

What is not collected

No cookies or similar identifiers. No analytics or measurement scripts of any kind. No advertising or profiling. No user accounts, logins or sign-ups. No contact forms. Nothing is written to your browser's local storage.

Fonts and the map library are served from this domain, not from a third-party network. That is deliberate: loading them from an external host would disclose your IP address to that company on every page view, before you had any say in it.

What is unavoidably processed

Hosting providerCloudflare, Inc. delivers this site and keeps short-lived technical connection logs, including IP addresses, to serve pages and defend against attacks. The publisher does not download, read or analyse those logs.
Map tilesOn pages that show a mapthe full map and the 168 destination pages — background tiles are fetched from the OpenStreetMap Foundation's servers, so opening one discloses your IP address to them. Country pages, rankings and articles load nothing from outside this domain. The OSMF privacy policy governs that processing.
"Near me"The button on the map asks your browser for your location. Your browser decides whether to ask you, and the coordinates are used in the page to centre the map. They are never sent to any server and are not stored.
E-mailIf you write to the contact address, your message and address are processed to answer you, and kept only as long as the exchange requires.

Legal basis and your rights

The processing above rests on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in delivering and securing the site, and — for correspondence — on answering a request you initiated. Because no identifiers are stored, the publisher holds no profile that could be looked up, corrected or exported.

You retain the rights under Articles 15–22 GDPR — access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability — and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Requests concerning data held by the hosting provider or the tile server must be addressed to them, as they are the controllers of their own logs.

Children

The site is aimed at a general audience, requires no registration and collects nothing that could identify a child.

If this changes

Should advertising or measurement ever be introduced, this page will state so — with the provider named and the lawful basis given — before anything of the kind goes live, and consent will be requested where the law requires it. Material changes are recorded by the date below.
